What you are going to do

As a Senior Platform Devops Engineer, you will be responsible for provisioning, maintaining and improving our Confluent Kafka platform.You will get under the hood of our tech landscape to realize seamless engineering experience.You lead modern software engineering practices with a focus on team culture and engineering excellence, mostly focusing on DevOps, shift-left practices, test automation, reliability engineering.The current version of the platform is being built as a software product. This means that we follow lean and agile methodologies to ship features as with a software project.

We gradually release software in alpha and beta phases and gather feedback from users during these early stages.

• Salary between €5,363 and  €7,661 (based on 40hrs) depending on your knowledge and experience

Who you are

You are a beacon of positivity and energy, inspiring everyone around you. Your innovative mindset means you're always brimming with new ideas, seeing possibilities, and learning from every situation. You recognize yourself in several of the following skills and experiences:

• Approximately 5 years of experience working with event-driven patterns
• Solid AWS cloud knowledge and experience, including Networking, PaaS, IaaS, and IAM
• Proficiency in GitOps deployment management
• Skilled in writing TypeScript or Python code
• Preferably, some experience with popular CNCF technologies such as ArgoCD, Istio, Cilium, and Knative
• Experience in providing IT services is a plus
• Ability to think about system and platform designs at scale

Moreover, you possess the following soft skills:

• You derive energy from coaching and mentoring younger or junior team members
• Ability to enable and train our end users to develop and deploy microservices on the platform while following best practices
• Strong communication skills (in English), along with excellent analytical and collaboration abilities

This domain has a scale-up type of culture and consists of a group of energetic and empowered engineers and product teams.
